The Audacity of President Obama’s Scolding the Supreme Court

The arrogance of President Obama has never been more evident than during last night’s State of the Union speech. As the Chief Justices sat prominently before him, the President, in extremely poor taste, in blatant rudeness, scolded and disparaged the Supreme Court, blasting their recent ruling. It was disgraceful.

    1. Well, Terry, you are a prime example of the fact that the comments on this blog often are not in agreement with my own thoughts, or are stated in a way I would not state them. You might want to be careful about attributing remarks to a person who did not indeed make those remarks.

Again, I wish you every blessing and joy.

  1. Terry, I don’t know if you found the Haiti information you are looking for or not, but I understand many of our church group has been to Haiti taking supplies and ministering to those hurting people. I’ve read of several people who have been there, and I understand there are teams still there.

Every prayer we’ve prayed, every dollar we have given have no doubt eased a little the terrible pain those dear people have suffered. I commend you for being concerned.

    DISRESPECT:

With all due respect, Terry, I do not see how it is disrespectful for me to voice my opinion about our President; in fact one of the great benefits of living in our beautiful country is that we are free to have opinions. I did not call him names, did not make snide remarks, but plainly and honestly stated my opinion that his remarks during the State of the Union speech were arrogant and rude.

Do you approve of his taking the Chief Justices to task as they sat before him?

You are now voicing a strong opinion as to my errors. Is that disrespectful to me? I don’t think so. I think it is your right as an American citizen and a reader of my blog.

LIES AND ANTICHRIST:”What can we, the United States of America, expect from a person who believes he is the Messiah to our country?”

I’m sorry, but I do not recall making this remark at all. Again, where did I do that?

DISRESPECT AND LIES: “I think he is evil, but in a way naive, in that he seems to have truly believed that he could do whatever he wanted and no one would stop him. I do think he’s what we needed to wake up the lethargic and uninvolved. I just pray that, if we do manage to weaken his hold and turn things around that people, especially Christians, don’t feel that can just relax and stop working. We must remain vigilant or it just happens again.

Again, Terry, where did I say this? I see no place where I said such a thing.

For any human being to claim they know the thoughts or motivation of another is an arrogant lie bordoring on making themselves GOD.

I did not speak to his thoughts or motivation, but to his actions.

When the Republicans were president and objected to the Supreme Court Decisions it was ok, in fadt they were “so right”. I just am upset that our church members and so many other Pentecostals are very quick to believe ANY lie about our president and repeat it. Try to think back on how the same issues were dealt with when Republicans were President. This is the man God put up. He (GOD) is in control. He puts them up and takes them down and we are supposed to respect GOD’s judgement and if we are patriotic accept that this country is a democracy. We should do for this president hat we do for all leaders. Pray for him.!!!! I do not agree with his every stance or decision but humans never do agree with each other. I just think Politics should never be mixed in with Religion.

How have I mixed politics with religion?

My pastor is so good about this that his political party ,if he has one, is unknown after 50+ years. That doesn’t mean he hasn’t taught on Homosexuality or abortion, but he has also taught on our obligations to the poor and need to repect those in power. Sometimes when I see abunch of people just putting out a bunch of assumtions and not caring if they are true I feel really like I am not a part of them.

Again, Terry, I am sorry you are so upset, but I’m encouraging you to take another look at this and be pleased that we live in a country where we can politely and freely voice our opinions. These are troublesome times, and we definitely need God to help us, and we need each other’s love and support.

I’m very glad you are so pleased with your pastor. A good pastor is a valuable asset.

God bless you and your family and friends.

Hope you visit my site often.

  4. Hello, Terry. Welcome to my blog…and really I’m sorry it has upset you so much. You need to help me out a bit here.

    1. Where was I disrespectful to President Obama?

    2. Where did I spread lies about him?

    3. Where did I call him the anti-Christ?

Hope you’re still reading, so we can straighten this out.

p.s. I got on this site becuase I was interested in our work in Haiti, and what we are doing with the offerings that are being taken up. I am so dissapointed that every time I try to connect with something my church is doing I get Republican politics . Please people don’t you know that at least half of the population is democrats. Are you willing to affend them with your politics and risk their oportunity to be saved???

I think part of the decline of America is people like you who thik it is okay to direspect the President. Spread lies about Him and call themselves Christians. I am third generation UPCI and I am constantly abhored by the blantent political lies spread by “Holy Ghost filled ” so called patriots”. I hope all the false prophets calling Obama the antichrist will be willing to call themselves such when their prophesy does not turn out to be true. Many Pentecostals these days are exchanging our Holyness standards for Republican Politics. I AM ASHAMED!!!!! and feel this has more to do with the decline than anything else.

Sad is true, but I also see this low tide in American history, as the perfect setting for our gracious God to do something incredible. I’m watching and waiting for that which cannot be denied as the hand of God, in the situation.
Mass. repeated again, and again and again!

To say it is a sad point in our history is to be kind. Let us remember those who sit on America’s highest court in our prayers.

    Just my thought:
