Sister Freeman About to Make Her Final Trip

A touching update has been sent to me concerning Sister Freeman: it seems she is about to make the most exciting trip of her life. What a truly remarkable woman she is, and in a very short time, she will gaze upon the face of Jesus–the One she has served so graciously and so powerfully for most of her life. I’m praying for an easy, peaceful transition, and I know you will also.

Nona Freeman Update December 16, 2009

Dear Friends, Fans and partners of Nona Freeman Ministry ;
Greetings in the name of Jesus;

This is an update about Sister Nona Freeman’s condition. As you were advised on December 8, 2009 hospice has been called in to her. Since then she has lost so much strength and is no longer able to even feed herself. This week a hospital bed was brought to her home to better care for her and she made the statement. ‘This is the where I will go to meet God.’ At that time it did not seem it would be a reality but even today she is weakened. Unless it is the will of God to intervene her home going could be anytime due to her present condition. She is not in any pain but at times is non-responsive nor has the strength to communicate.
Next to Jesus and her ministry, her family, friends and supporters has always been her life. Per her own conversations to her staff this past week; it is her desire for her messages and devotionals on various forums to be continued. She personally spent time last week to prepare this and made the statement, ‘I have spent hours writing in airports, hotel rooms or other places for publications and recordings that I leave behind for the work of God. It is my desire my postings continue because so many are hurting and I won’t be here.’ True to her word, she has left months of prepared messages.
Some of her family is with her and are doing everything possible to see she is comfortable. Every conversation is about her longing to see Jesus then ‘My Bug’ her beloved husband of 62 years also now gone on to be with the Lord.
Where most of us have traveled areas she traveled CONTINENTS for the name of Jesus but now is anxious to reap her reward. Everyone is so supportive and the Nona Freeman family wants to advise everyone of her weakened condition because even they are shocked and asks for your prayers in the days ahead. Not only is it their mother, grandmother, etc., but a gospel legend that has blazed the Apostolic trail for us to follow.
Anyone desiring to do so may leave a message or comment. What better time to say, ‘Thank you for giving to the Lord’ to Sister Nona Freeman; and to her beloved family’s thanks for sharing her with the world.’
There will be updates posted daily. Blessings in the name of Jesus.

Greetings In Jesus Name sister Freeman. I write this message from afar off land, Navajo reservation. You have come to our church in Tohatchi to preach the gospel to us. Pastor Eastridge has been an Up-Lifting Pastor. You as well as grandmother Eastridge were great warriors for many tribes, you taught us how to fight against darkness with Jesus Name. I remember you told us to DO EVERYTHING IN JESUS NAME. And you taught us to BLESS ALL THOSE YOU MEET. We will miss you, Sister Freeman.

Sis. Freeman, I have never met you in person, I have only been a face of one in a crowd, but I promise you that one day with the Lord’s help I will walk on the same streets of gold as you and I will always remember how your books helped me press on one step at a time. Godspeed see you there!

What can I say that so many others have not already said? Sister Freeman has been an inspiration and blessing to me through articles, preached messages, her books. God bless her as she leaves on this trip for which she has been preparing for so long. God bless and comfort her family and dear loved ones, as well as those of us whose lives she has touched in the name of Jesus. Words fail to convey our feelings of hope, grief, love, and assurance. We are praying.

Sis. Freeman,

Thank you for the selfless and wholehearted way you have given your life to the work of the Lord and for writing it down so plainly that tells it like it is to encourage the masses of God’s children; especially to those of us in the ministry. God bless and keep you dearly.

As a 15 yr old teen, I had never cared to be drag to Ladies meetings. I didn’t get the teaching, it was always about husband, kids and well stuff I was not dealing with. So I dreaded being dragged to a ladies meeting at Landmark in Stockton, CA. Sis. Freeman spoke that year. It was first time at a ladies meeting I had ever actually felt I got something out of a ladies meetings!!!
I meet Sis. Freeman either that year or the next and I felt very privilaged to personally met such a woman. I’m glad to be able to say I was able to meet such a wonderful godly woman.
My prayers are with the family and I pray that the Final Trip will be a peaceful one!

May this fine saint of God make the passage from the mortal to the eternal with all dignity and grace. Our prayers will be for those who are still pressing toward the end of their race.

Sis. Buxton,

I was reading her status a few days ago and was saddened. I had the privelege of driving her from Sacramento to Mountain View around 2 years ago, and it was a trip I will never forget. Just getting to sit there in the car with her for 2 hours was a time that will be implanted in my memory forever. What an awesome example of a christian and somebody that I would strive to have similar faith like.
