Celebrations of 7/7/7

David, the youngest son of our neighbors Ken and Nancy, has chosen today for his wedding. Jerry and I are sorry we will not be able to attend, as the wedding is in the San Diego area, and it would just be too hard for us to get back here for Sunday morning church at 9:00.

According to many news reports, this is an extremely popular day for weddings–having to do with the “lucky” number of 7. Seems lots of other exciting events have been tied to this date.

While it seems as if at least 7,777,777 couples are tying the knot on 07-07-07, there are others who hitched themselves to Saturday’s marketing allure.

– It’s the “luckiest day on earth,” according to Papa John’s, which to this chain means giving away 777 pizzas to several, a pizza card worth $777 to one, and selling one-topping pizzas online for $7.77.

Still full of life and ready to be on the move, Shirley at 81 years old feels blessed to have lots of energy and to be full of optimism. She was married to Jerry for 64 years, and grieves yet at his death in August of 2019. They have 4 children, 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren...all beautiful and highly intelligent--of course. :)

Carol, I went to your site and read about the beautiful wedding.

David, although we are not there now, our neighbor yesterday told us a couple of days ago it was 101 in Crestline! Unbelievable. What’s the temp at Big Bear?

The wedding Jen mentioned above was beautiful. Do you know Rev. Ari Prado? He was the one who got married. He married a wonderful girl from Revival Tabernacle in Fremont. (pastored by Steve Kerr)

Mike, this great grandmother is still waiting for word. (A few hours ago, as you know, contractions were beginning, but the latest I heard, Lindsi has not yet gone to the hospital.) Just a few more hours for this special birthday. Go Lindsi! Come baby!

Sunday, July 8th Still no baby! Guess he’s not finished cooking just yet.

This day could bring us a new grandson, Our son Ryan and his wife Lindsi planned to have a baby on this date. To their amazement the doctor set the due date July 8th. So hold your breath we could get LUCKY. Michael
