I Am Apple People

A Day in the Life of an Apple Genius

By: Eugene Robinson of Mac Life

What does it take to be chosen as an elite power user – a Mac aficionado so advanced you even pass Apple’s muster? To find out, we asked some Genius Bar smarties.

I love my new Apple computer, although I have not mastered it yet. It’s white and pretty, and smart people recommended it as I considered which computer to purchase, and everyone who owns one says they would never have anything else, and within Apple stores are brilliant people (at least that is said to be true 🙂 ), and really I’m hoping some of this smartness will rub off on me just because my computer has a pretty apple on its cover. I’ll let you know if that works. In the meantime, I know you’ll enjoy reading this article about Apple People.

Still full of life and ready to be on the move, Shirley at 83 years old feels blessed to have lots of energy and to be full of optimism. She was married to Jerry for 63 years, and grieves yet at his death in August of 2019. They have 4 children, 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren...all beautiful and highly intelligent--of course. :)

LOL Are we having fun or what?!? Think about it this way – Your high-falutin’ MAC can still talk to my poverty stricken PC……and vice versa. 🙂

I especially like my white keys with black letters because I can see them so much better.

Brian has MAC, but I hate it. I tried for over six months to get used to it and every job I performed, it took several more “clicks” than what I would do on my PC. Finally, I said enough is enough. The MAC sits on the desk and is used mainly for music and Bryce’s school work. I purchased a PC laptop by Averatec at Sam’s Club for less than $700 and I love it. In fact, Brian bought another one just like mine for him. I think he had a hard time adjusting to MAC and therefore the purchase of the small PC. But, he would never in a million years admit it. However, to be fair, Apple is superior for people who are into commercial arts. I am not creating websites, commercials, etc. The programs I use are not available for MAC and the comparable MAC programs required several more steps to receive a less quality result. I prefer a simpler approach. In fact, I even like my e-mail better than the MAC e-mail. Sorry, Apple fans.

I am glad that you love your new Apple computer. Yep, I believe you are smarter! You couldn’t ask for a cooler computer. It just speaks confidence, intelligence, and sophistication! 🙂
