Thanksgiving Evening 2006

It’s evening, the great meal is finished, and we all relax. Around the dining table, the rest of the adults are playing a game. Jerry is “hard-at-work” on his computer, the youngsters are scattered here and there, and Todd is in the study also “hard-at-work” on my computer.

Still full of life and ready to be on the move, Shirley at 81 years old feels blessed to have lots of energy and to be full of optimism. She was married to Jerry for 64 years, and grieves yet at his death in August of 2019. They have 4 children, 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren...all beautiful and highly intelligent--of course. :)

Thank you, and I do want it to be warm and friendly. That is more important to me than elegant and fancy.

I’ll be cooking a lot today for the Saturday party. Shopped for ingredients yesterday.

You have a beautiful home. It looks so nice and warm and friendly–just like you. I am so glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I too had a great Thanksgiving with my family and friends.

I hope your party is a great success!!

God Bless!

Thank you, Bro. and Sis. Buxton, for giving me and my family a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving! We had so much fun! The food was super yummy, the game was hilarious, and the fellowship was precious. God bless you! Love, Tena

Of course you’re invited Tom, and, yes, we’ll have good food. You too, Pris. And sure, I’d love to be added as a link on your site…feel complimented. I’ll do the same for you.

You DO have a nice looking home, and I couldn’t help but notice the food items on the table. Will there be similar items at the Christmas party? Am I invited? If so, make that 56,001, Bro. Buxton. HAW!

Jerry, in every nook and cranny we can find, of course. Except that there won’t be nearly that many, for 56,000 represent every time someone has taken even a little peek at one page of my blog 🙂

Thank you, Carol. I feel so blessed to have it. It is an older place, not fancy at all, but I love my home…especially when it is filled with my family and friends.

Hey, I know what. Jerry and I are throwing an open house/Christmas party next Saturday, December 2nd from 4 to 8:00. Why not bundle up everyone, pitch them in your car, and trundle down this way.

Now that I think of it: Everyone who reads my blog is invited. 🙂
