For several weeks now, we have experienced serious internet connection problems here at DJs RV park; hence the paucity of blog posts.
Today, came by a stray signal: voila! Two posts within a 30 minute period.
Thanks for your loyalty–for coming by and reading an old column or two. I’m hoping that correction of our problem here is possible.

Well Glory Be!! Good to hear every things ok.. but did you have to send me scrambling for a dictionary ? Great Word… you don’t hear it much… kind of a rarity actually… quite seldom used, few and far between in fact!

Just an idea, try Starbucks. Yes, that infamous place that peddles Americas most used drug. I have used a $5.00 gift card, register it on the net. Now I can go to the coffee palace and not only indulge in my drug of choice, in the flavor of choice and in the size of choice. I can surf the net for zip. I have used the same card here at home, Santa Maria, Bakersfield, Visalia and Frisco and they all work. I have only registered one card over eight months ago and it worked last week.
Virginia and I are so glad to here all is well with the Buxton’s

Sister Buxton uses a lot of pretty words. I told her one time that I think she manufactured some of them.

Bro. Webb, I have been missing my daily dose of this blog. It is refreshing and always easy to read. But that new word….well I never heard of it!! Peace
Mervi // December 4, 2008 at 6:28 pm
paucity
Pronunciation: \ˈpȯ-sə-tē\
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English paucite, from Latin paucitat-, paucitas, from paucus little — more at few
Date: 15th century
1 : smallness of number : fewness
2 : smallness of quantity : dearth
Remember, Sis. Buxton is both a reader and a writer. Better know as a wordsmith.

Bro. R. Webb;
I have been around long enought to fully grasp that I am NOT, “pretty, as to look at.” Only to my wife, kids, grand kids and great-grand kids, well there may be one or two more.
Have a great day;
Mervi

i read your blog and it was very good. You said you were over the hill at 62? they say life begins at 40 then at 50 you begin to go over the hill. Well, I have been over the hill for the past 30 years. On the 3rd of last month I became 80. They say that life is a bowl of cherries bot I have been in a lot of pits too.

I have been out of the loop myself… for other reasons. But I have confidence in God that no matter if you post or not, He will take care of you and Bro Buxton.
Now my turn to catch up
(: sorry about the recipes, I had a plan – only postponed.

Sis Herring // December 13, 2008 at 5:15 pm
Hey Sister Buxton! This is Sister Herring from Mansfield! Sis Jenny told me of your site several months back and I’m just now able to stop and read awhile. Wow I really like what I’ve read so far. And that brings me to my comment. I’m writing this as I travel I-20 across North LA on our way to Jackson MS via my laptop and cell phone. I’m using it as a modem. Its pretty awesome. Mike, my husband is a successful evangelist, so necessity is the mother of invention right? I do wish to take this opportunity to say Lord bless you Sister. You are an inspiration to me, we’ve only met a couple of times and only once did we get to chat, you made an impression on a young (at that time) evangelists’ wife. Oh Sister Rogers is my husband’s Grandmother by the way. I was inspired by you and Bro Buxton so that I’ve started a journal of our evangelist experiences that the Lord has allowed us to be a part of. We’ve witnessed may miracles and have seen many get the Holy Ghost by evidence of them speaking in tongues. My journal is only about 50 pages long (give or take), sometimes I write and sometimes I don’t. And I also have a picture journal of the places we’ve been blessed to go (which requires a computer of its own, I also love photography). I guess I better stop this is your blog not mine. Anyway I want to say Thank you to both of you and may the Lord richly bless you as you work for Him.
Jana Allard // December 14, 2008 at 5:46 pm
Sis. Buxton – check with your cellular phone service and see what they have available. We are with AT&T and we have small device we plug into a USB port on our computer and we can access the internet. They charge us a monthly fee but we have found it to be worth it as much as we travel. If you get cell phone reception, you can get internet access.

I feel your pain. When I go “off the grid” on occasion (which is really only due to me going to NC and only having dial-up) it always takes some adjusting!
PS. I LOVE the snow. I got to figure out how do it on my site!

No! When many people suffer from a delusion it means they are all crazy.

On second thought; Christian people are not crazy nor are they in a delusion. Only people that don’t know God are in a delusion.
