How amazing is God? How creative and wise, and what gifts He has for us, and how stunned we are as we come to a fresh view of His work…and how empty are our words as we try to speak of Him and of His creative force and of His never flagging energy and power. Such are my thoughts this morning. Blessed to be advancing well past middle age, widely read and well traveled, I had never heard of a butterfly with transparent wings until this morning. What’s on your agenda today? Need power? Need new insight? Need encouragement? Our God is the answer. He who stepped out on nothing and with mere words spoke into existence our beautiful world is also our friend, our Saviour, our Redeemer.

Hi Sister Buxton,
That is a beautiful butterfly. I was in Barnes and Noble Monday night and was looking at a book about the rainforest. It had some gorgeous pictures of some very colorful critters that our God had made. To me, it is hard to believe that people could not believe in God when it seems like creation is practically screaming out that He exists.

That’s a really cool picture. I’ve seen something about those types of butterflies before. It’s so neat how you can see right through them! God had a good imagination.
